My career choice, let’s discuss it
The study “My career choice, let’s discuss it (Mon choix de carrière, j’en discute)” is carried out under the supervision of professors Catherine Ratelle, Stéphane Duchesne, and Frédéric Guay from the Education Faculty at Laval University.
This study examines the academic and family determinants of vocational decision-making and successful adaptation during the transition to college.
(1) The first objective of this longitudinal study is to better identify and understand the mechanisms underlying students’ career choice and to study parents’ contribution during this period.
(2) The second objective consists of better understanding parental involvement during their child’s vocational development.
