Component 2 – parent sample
Initially, the recruitment announcement for parents of elementary school (or preschool) children was scheduled for fall 2023. However, due to the teachers’ strike, it was postponed until the following year.
Time 1: Fall 2024
In fall 2024, an initial online questionnaire was administered to parents. They were recruited through our partners, organizations (e.g., regional consultation bodies), and social media through the dissemination of our recruitment notice. A total of 2,116 parents completed the questionnaire (88% women, Mage = 39 years).
Time 2: Spring-Summer 2025
In spring–summer 2025, a second online questionnaire, identical to the one administered at Time 1, was sent to the 2,116 parents. Following this second administration, 1,464 parents completed the questionnaire (90% women, Mage = 40 years), corresponding to an attrition rate of 31%.
