Parents’ needs in supporting their child’s schooling
The study “Parents’ needs”, directed by Catherine Ratelle, in collaboration with Stéphane Duchesne, André Plamondon, David Litalien, and Julien Bureau from the Education Faculty at Université Laval, focuses on parental psychological needs in supporting their child’s schooling.
The first objective of this study is to identify the determinants of parental psychological needs in the context of supporting their child’s schooling.
The second objective is to describe sources of psychological need satisfaction and frustration and their role in predicting the quality of parental involvement throughout their child’s primary school education.
