Brief report (March 2022)
At the beginning of each school year, all parents are invited to attend the annual general assembly at their child’s school. It is during this meeting that parents can learn more about the school and the ways to get involved (e.g. election of governing board members). Typically, few parents attend this meeting, prompting many questions : Who are the parents attending this meeting? What are the reasons for not attending? How can schools encourage parents’ participation in this assembly? The first results of our study address these questions:
